There is difference between formal and informal design, formal design is composed in a balanced and proportional way and the rhythm in a formal design should show a consistent shapes and colours. Formal design could include variety to make the design more interesting. I have gone through Samantha’s work  and I suggest that the rubbish fonts is consistent in colour and design it doesn’t include much variety the arrangement of the elements is balanced but I don’t see much contrast between the piece the fonts are creative and simple that goes with the concept she has. I suggest adding more variety makes it more interesting. Overall the elements that made the font are composed well. In “a line is a dot that went for a walk” I see good contrast the colours conflict well with one another, it is simple and clear and I like the work. The Cd cover has a good creative picture that communicates with young people mostly. It gives a hidden and scared feeling. There is balance and proportion with variety of shapes and dark colour. Over all measuring all the works I suggest:

I took the concept  from paul klee that a line is a dot that went for a walk and I tried to come up with my own visual interpretation of what paul has said. I used brush, paint bucket and  filter effects to edit my work

For the project of making a story board for a TV series that is based on the stories of Hans Christian Anderson I choose the story " The Little Match Girl".  It is based on the life of a young girl who lives in a low social status. she has to support her family by selling match. The story begans in the  eve of a new year, the little girl went out to sell match in a cold and dark weather. she have no food and no good clothing that helps her stay warm in the cold , the young girl use her match to warm her self and at the same time she saw visions through fire that she hold.after dreaaming for a while the cold get worse and she has passed away.

Project: logo design

Task: to create a logo to promote” Magnificent palace”

Description:

 A logo is needed for the business “magnificent palace” to let customers be aware of the business and for promotion purpose. Magnificent palace provides a holiday home for families and married couples where they can spend their holiday enjoy their vocation and treated in a very pleasing way. The business plans to create the environment of royalty  by developing palace culture and discipline  such as all workers and servants will dress in a royal fashion and the design of the rooms reflect royalty as well. The logo should include the sense of this culture to display the uniqueness of the holiday palace.

What is looking for this logo is an expression of the palace as relaxing, welcoming, and attractive and a place where people are treated as kings and queens.

The target audience for this business are mostly families and couples who need a getaway place for their holiday.  The logo should target on these audiences to persuade and motivate them to choose the Magnificent Palace.

Symbols that may describe the business could be

Logo style: the logo colour mostly should be purple, white and Gold to represent royalty and recreation.  The logo should be

I CHOOSE THIS WAY FOR ADULTS BECAUSE THEY HAVE  THE CONCEPT OF COMMUNITY AND THEY UNDERSTAND THAT INFLUENCE CAN FLOW FROM INDIVIDUAL PEACE TO THE COMMUNITY. ADULTS ARE MORE AWARE OF INFLUENCES AND ARE MORE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEMSELVES AND THE NEXT GENERATION.

KIDS VERSION OF PEACE

THE MAIN PART OF MY IDEA FOR PEACE

INTHIS PART OF POSTER I TRIED TO SHOW THE WINDS WHICH REFLECT THE INFLUENCE WITH IN THE SOCIETY BLOWING TOWARDS THE HEART OF A HUMAN THROUGH THE WINDOWS , THE WINDOWS STAND FOR EITHER THE EYES OF HUMAN OR THE EAR  THAT ENABLES HUMAN TO GATHER INFORMATION.  PEACE  IN HUMAN IS THEN DISTURBED IF THE PERSON  LOSES THE STRENGH TO FACE THE INFLUENCES IN A POSITIVE WAY. I USED TWO KIND OF PEOPLE ONE WHO IS RELAXED AND HAPPY AND THE OTHER LOOKS WORRIED. THE HEART AT THE BOTTOM WITH A WHITE DOVE SITTING ON A WATER SHOWS A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT.

Techniques

I used  photos and  drawings to build one main idea of peace to two target audiences which are kids and adults. I used most of the tools in photoshop to build my posters and edit the image using the tools in filter. I also engaged opacity, contrast, color , shape and texture.

PEACE

For my social issue work  I choose to do on the topic peace. peace is the basic need of human inner part. Every individual desires to live in an environment of peace. However in this world there are human conflicts that disturb the peace of humanity. Peace is necessary not only for an individual but also for a community and a nation. with out peace there is no secured life and no satisfaction for human emotions. Fear and worry rises as the level of peace is reduced with different reasons such as war, hunger and violence.In my work I tried to explore that the origin of peace is in the heart which is the inner part of human. If the peace of an individual is secured then the individual influences and veiws things in a peaceful way but If the peace of an individual is disturbed then the persons contribution to the community will be fear and worry. On the other hand a persons peace may be influenced through media, self image, knowledge and culture and so many more elements with in the community. The peace of the community is then formed as individuals contribute what they have to the outside world. The community then develops the environment and the next generation recieves either peaceful culture or disturbed environment.so I reflect how peace starts in a person's life and spreads to the community.

I used photoshop to edit both the front and back cover and put all the pictures together adding the effects such as blur, drop in shadow, inner and outer Glow, artistic effect and 3D effect.

step 04- For the back cover I decide to edit one of the photo I took during a conference time and I chose this photo because I like the effect of the light and the music team background and I used one of the picture that I draw. I chose the music that I like and put the fonts at the back cover.

Step 02 :

For the front cover I decide to use the paper line that I scaned, the Picture of my friend and the drawings that I have done and put them together.
